Waffles Texturing
Experimental Work with Light and Textures

The main goal of this project was to play around with textures, especially sub-surface scattering, to nail the perfect see-through look. The idea was to make the product look like appetizing waffles rather than just random bricks. For the main shapes I used basic cubes with the collision deformer and for the syrup on top I used some simple clothing tags. The textures were made using various noise layers on top each other from the color panel and with the sub-surface scattering turned on.  To achieve the perfect vibe, I tinkered with a few different lights, adjusting their strengths until I got the desired effect just right.​​​​​​​
